Property Services

The Property Services team provides a dedicated customer enquiries service. Customer Services is the first point of contact if you have any questions about council tenancy and leasehold issues.

You can contact Customer Services between 9am – 5pm, Monday, Tuesday and Friday, or between 10am and 5pm on Wednesdays, on the Freephone number 0800 195 5552.

Most repairs to the structure and the essential services to your home are the responsibility of Housing & Regeneration Unit and Property Services carries these out. These are called day-to-day repairs. However, if you cause damage to a council property, we will charge you the cost of putting it right. Your tenancy conditions set out responsibilities for you and the Council. You can also find out more information about the priority we give repairs in the Tenants’ Handbook.

There is also a team, which coordinates and oversees the Major Works programme and adaptation projects. This team alongside a small team of consultants undertake large-scale maintenance, repair and improvement projects across the borough aiming to improve the quality of existing properties.
