Children and Young People's Plan/Joint Area Review 2008

As you may know this year’s review of Sutton’s Children and Young People’s Plan also serves as our self-evaluation for the Joint Area Review (JAR) which takes place in June and July.

Many groups or individuals will have had input into this review either through direct conversation, email or interaction at the Sutton Children and Young People’s Conference. This is still very much ‘work in progress’, for example we do not yet have end of year performance data. We would like your input into the review at this stage to enable us to present a fair and collaborative review document. This will both inform the Joint Area Review inspection team and the drafting of the next Children and Young People’s Plan.

This review seeks to identify:

What did we say we were going to do in 2007/08?

What did we do?

What impact did we have?

What next?

This straightforward format is designed to ensure that we are very clear about our intentions, our actions, the difference we have made and our next steps for the five outcomes for children and young people.

The review document is set out under the headings of the five outcomes:

Being Healthy

Staying Safe

Enjoy and Achieve

Positive Contribution

Economic Wellbeing

and the sixth section on Service Management.

We invite you to let us know if you think we have got it right.

The Review document is available via this link (PDF ImagePDF-192KB).   We ask you to consider the questions on the pro forma and let us know your views by post or email to: Candida Goulden, The Grove, Carshalton SM5 3AL (email to: candida.goulden@sutton.gov.uk) by 31 March 2008.

We look forward to your responses to inform our Joint Area Review and the formulation of next year’s Children and Young People’s Plan.
