Volunteering at Sutton Ecology Centre
Volunteers are essential to the running of the Ecology Centre. They come from many different backgrounds. Some come from local schools, colleges and universities for work experience, or are on Employment, Community Action, or Training for Work schemes in the area. One group comes from a local day centre for adults with special needs. Others come from further afield to stay and do work experience - even from abroad. Some volunteers just come to try something a bit different! There is a varied range of volunteering opportunities available at the Ecology Centre. You can help with grounds maintenance, teaching visiting school groups voluntary teaching or even help with administration work voluntary office work.
The Ecology Centre shares its grounds with several other organisations, all of whom use volunteers: the Sutton Nature Conservation Volunteers, Tools For Self-Reliance and Carshalton Association For the Elderly.
