Farmers Market
Farmers Markets are markets where producers themselves bring their produce for sale direct to the public. This type of market are based on the tradition of smallholders producing to sell directly to the local town or village. Farmers Markets are therefore not a new idea. In North America, Australia etc. many are booming.
The first Farmers' Market in the UK took place in Bath, September 1997. Since then many parts of the UK have seen the rapid emergence of regular seasonal Farmer's Markets.
The North East Surrey Farmers' Markets can be found at Old Town Hall and Library Gardens, Wallington, Surrey on the second Saturday of each month.
