What's it About?

Sutton's Summer Festival, Take Part, Take Pride is back for its fourth year with a week of diverse and exciting community events, running from Monday July 6 to Sunday 12 July 2009.

Take Part, Take Pride is a perfect opportunity to show off what you do and what you care about. Whether you're a community group, a business, a resident or a service, we want to inspire you to take part by setting up an activity or event which gives others the chance to get involved.

The festival gives you a way to promote yourself and entertain the public at the same time. So come on – Go For It!

Air Your Views at Sutton Speaks live debate Sutton Speaks

Join the Sutton Speaks live debate in Sutton High Street on Sunday 12 July from 12pm; where roving presenters collect your comments and ideas; what would you like the council to do with £2000 to make your community better?

Three ideas will be chosen along with three from earlier in the week and it's up to the public to find the winner. Be prepared to see a passionate debate with people trying to win your vote for their vision for spending the money!

Please note SUNDAY 12 July, Countryside Walk in Oaks Park (not Saturday as quoted in guide book), Councillor Moira Butt ,A great chance to explore the park with a friendly group, all are welcome. 10.30am, meeting at the Oaks Park Café. moira.butt@sutton.gov.uk

How we help...

 The Take Part, Take Pride team at the Civic Offices will be printing and sending out publicity about the events taking place, contacting the local newspaper and generally helping to promote your work, as well as giving advice and helping to connect people wanting to take part.
