Taxicard provides subsidised travel in Computer Cabs. Each user receives an agreed number of trips.

How does the Taxicard work?Sutton Station

The scheme allows people who have a mobility impairment which prevents them from using buses or trains to travel in certain black cabs at subsidised rates.

This service is for anyone from the age of three years old.

You will be a resident in the London Borough of Sutton with a permanent disability.

The user pays the first £1.50 standard charge for each journey:

London Borough of Sutton pays £10.30

The user pays any excess over £11.80

This service is funded by the London Borough of Sutton and the Mayor of London.

You automatically qualify if:

  • You receive Higher Rate Mobility Allowance (DLA)
  • You receive War Pension Mobility Allowance
  • You are Blind 

To apply you will need to complete an application form which can be obtained by calling 020 8770 5607.  An Independent Assessor may visit if there is no automatic fulfillment of criteria.
