Worcester Park

Worcester Park is partly built on on the north-east corner of Nonsuch Great Park.

It takes its name from the 4th Earl of Worcester, one-time Keeper of the Great Park; the principal house in the Park becoming known during and after his occupancy as Worcester House. The house was on the highest point in the Park, where The Avenue, Royal Avenue and Delta Road meet. Modern Worcester Park grew up around the railway station. Development started in the late 19th century and was largely completed in the interwar years (1919 - 1939).
