Parent Partnership Service

Offering help and support for parents of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

SPPS Logo

The service has a role in making sure that parents views are heard and understood.

The SEN & Disability Act 2001 established a statutory duty for Local Authorities (LA)  to offer parent partnership services from January 2002 and the SEN Code of Practice 2001 provides national minimum standards for those services.

In Sutton the Parent Partnership Service operates at arm's length from the LA out of its office based in Wandle Valley school.

If your child has been excluded from school please visit the ACE (Advisory Centre for Education) and IPSEA (Independent Panel for Special Education Advice) external websites.
