Licensing and Licensing (Miscellaneous Functions) Committees and Sub-CommitteesPlease note: This link takes you to an external website. The Licensing Committee is responsible for discharging the Council's functions under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. The Scrutiny Overview Committee supports and advisees the other scrutiny committees and helps plan and coordinate the Council's programme of scrutiny reviews. It is responsible for the Council's performance management framework and ensures that arrangements are in place to secure continuous improvement in Council services in terms of economy. efficiency and effectiveness. It is the lead Committee for the implementation of any reviews and will consider reports from the Council's external and internal auditors and ensure that action is taken as recommended. |
