Short Story Competition - October 2007

Sutton Libraries held a very successful short story competition for adults and children during October, as part of the Sutton Text Fest.

The standard of entries was very high and the judges enjoyed reading all the stories.

The adult and teenage categories were judged by the well known author Mary Lawson. She choose Liz Udall as the first prize winner and Peter Shearing won second prize. Dominic Newman won the older teenage category and Sarah Deen was the runner-up. All these prize winners won a book token.

The children's entries were judged by Angela McNally, the Chair of the Carnegie / Greenaway Medal Working Party. The children's category winners received book token prizes and the runners-up all got a goody bag.

Thank you to everyone who entered.
