Arts Festivals

In 2007, the London Borough of Sutton introduced two new arts festivals for Sutton focused on developing new work and contributing to arts development in the borough.

The festivals were designed within existing budgets and were part of a re-design of arts services in Sutton following the adoption of Sutton Arts Strategy 2007-2010 (PDF File PDF 124KB).

IMAGINE . . . A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN JOIN IN WITH A WHOLE HOST OF EXCITING ARTS BASED ACTIVITIES.

Can you ‘Imagine’ anything more exciting than having the opportunity to participate in some extraordinary and innovative projects as part of Sutton’s Imagine Festival, which, now in its second year, takes place from 17th May to 1st June across the whole Borough teaming up with SCOLA’s Adult Learner’s Week, which also starts on the 17th May.

Following on from last year’s successful events why not join the teams from Libraries, Heritage, Sports, Youth Service, Ecology and Theatres as they present a wide range of art activities from creative art to performance art. The theme is participation and there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved. Even if you are not feeling particularly creative yourself there will be wonderful performances to watch, displays and exhibitions to view and events to enjoy in this Borough wide initiative.
