The Grove Park Management Plan
What is a Management Plan?
“The primary reason for developing a management Plan is to aid the efficient and effective management of the site”
A management plan is a tool for exploring current management of a park, and for gaining consensus on future management and development. The plan is written to guide the efficient and effective management of a site, and the primary users and producers of a plan will be the people responsible for the day-to-day management of the site. Therefore the plan must hold relevant technical information addressing site management and control of the site. The park users, stakeholders and other members of the community are also involved in discussion and consultation as part of the process of producing the plan. And this helps to shape the future management to their expectations.
The plan presents an opportunity to collate a wealth of information that Sutton’s Park Service possess about a site into one comprehensive document.
This management plan will allow residents to access information and understand the management of the park. In addition this document will be a benchmark to measure whether short and medium term objectives have been met.
