There are two dedicated Safer Parks Teams covering Sutton's parks and open spaces. The  teams are run along the same lines as Safer Neighbourhoods Teams (SNTs), each consisting of one sergeant, two police constables and three Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).  Sgt Jim Nicholls and Sgt Mark Dolce each head one of the teams. While members of the teams are all Metropolitan Police Officers or Police Community Support Officers, the London Borough of Sutton funds all but two of the posts. The teams come under the management of Chief Inspector David Gair in the Safer Sutton Partnership Service.

The teams work closely with Safer Neighbourhoods Teams and their Ward Panels, as well as with Neighbourhood Wardens and officers from Sutton Council.  They also work in partnership with operational policing units giving effective 24-hour police cover for all parks and open spaces.
