Festive entertainment for Sutton shoppers 22.12.10
Sutton town centre has been alive with the sound of music in the run-up to Christmas.
A series of acts have been entertaining shoppers on the High Street in the run-up to 25 December as part of efforts to help attract extra shoppers.
Among them were Sutton Music Services Brass Band who busked on the High Street to raise money for the Sutton Youth Music Supporters Association (SYMSA), which supports young musicians in the borough, including funding music lessons for children from low income families.
Enjoying the music was Chris Broadley, who was finishing his last minute Christmas shopping. He said. "I enjoy brass band music and, particularly around Christmas time, it adds to the atmosphere on the High Street."
A full programme of events to entertain shoppers will be unveiled in the New Year.
