Enjoy the Summer with Play On the Move - 23.07.09
Come in and join in the fun when Play on the Move comes to a park near you in Sutton this summer.
A variety of free sports, games, arts and crafts activities will be on offer for children and young people aged 5-16 years by trained play staff across Sutton's parks and open spaces. The project runs from Monday 27th July to Friday 21st August.
The project, now in its second year, is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and delivered in partnership with Sutton Council and Sutton Centre for the Voluntary Sector.
One of the parents, Angela Purdue, said: "Nice to see a fully inclusive event where nobody is judging anybody and seeing so many children having fun".
Another parent said: "Brilliant set up, with lots to do and plenty of helpful and happy staff, we will definitely be coming again".
Cllr Tony Brett Young, Executive Member for Young People said: "Our Play on the Move projects are hugely popular with children and parents alike. This is a wonderful chance for children to enjoy a better range of playtime activities in their local communities. Outdoor play is an important part of growing up and I'm delighted parents are engaging with their children and enjoying the host of activities on offer to them."
