Impressions of the borough - 27.11.09
Familiar landscapes with a contemporary twist are the focus of the latest exhibition at Carshalton's popular Honeywood Museum.
'Pictures and Pottery' features work from artists across South London including paintings, collage, ceramics and fabrics.
Highlights of the show include Able Kesteven's bright Fauvist colours and John Stillman's subtle use of muted colour beautifully embodying a winter day in Carshalton Park. Also on display are Neal Vaughan's recent intimate autumn scenes from Beddington and Grove Park.
A wide range of paintings, prints, calendars and art cards are also for sale at the exhibition, which runs till Sunday 17 January.
Cllr Graham Tope, Executive Member for Leisure and Libraries on Sutton Council said,
"Honeywood has excelled itself again with a stunning showcase of local talent. Next time you're in Carshalton, this is an exhibition not to miss."
Honeywood Museum is open Wednesday to Friday 11am-5pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. Entrance is £1.60 for adults and 80p for Children.
