Eco-Schools workshop a success 30.03.10
On Wednesday 24 March, the London Borough of Sutton held its first Eco-Schools workshop.
Representatives from 30 schools from across the Borough came together to hear presentations about the experiences of neighbouring Eco-Schools, in order to take away ideas and share their own best practices.
Other presentations included an overview of Project Genie (an exciting new project which will be used to teach Key Stage 2 pupils about climate change and energy reduction), a presentation by the Government Office for London about the government's Sustainable Schools target and Sutton's new Eco-Schools Officer.
The event was a big success, with many schools excited to be taking new ideas back to their schools.
