Annual Review process for your child’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) event

The Sutton Parent Carer Forum is hosting an information event for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The event, on Tuesday 15 November, will be an opportunity for parents and carers to hear from the head of SEND at Cognus, to explain the Annual Review process for your child’s/young person’s Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

The session will cover what to expect from the Annual Review meeting, and how parents and carers can prepare, and what should happen before, during and following the meeting.

Councillor Marian James, Chair of the People Committee, said: “The Annual Review process can be complex for parents and carers to navigate through. These sessions are designed to help bring some clarity to the process, and also help parents and carers get the most out of it as possible, so that they can help support their child.”
