In partnership with Road to Success (R2S), the Early Help team run an employment programme for young people aged 16-18 years who are not in education, employment or training. The scheme offers young people training and support to find work in the construction industry by gaining a certificate in both 'Health & Safety' and 'Employability'. They also have the opportunity to study for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) test and receive a CSCS card which allows them to work on building sites.
This is a very successful project which has given a number of young people the step up they need to be ready for and to find suitable work.
