Neighbourhood Grants can help you organise local projects and events which benefit your local area.
Each Local Committee can provide a Neighbourhood Grant of up to £1000. Voluntary organisations, local charities and community groups can apply to their Local Committee. Please check if you're eligible.
We particularly encourage applications which are inclusive, promote community development, support mental and physical wellness, and tackle racism or climate change.
If you're organising an event, road closures, insurance or waste collection can be funded by Event Fees and Charges. The Event Fees and Charges Grant can be applied for alongside Neighbourhood Grant funding, or on its own.
Applications made for a Neighbourhood Grant or for an Event, Fees and Charges Grant should be submitted 2 months prior to your event and we do not provide funding retrospectively.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent restrictions on social gatherings, we cannot award funding for any events unless they have been approved by the events team. For more information, please visit the events page.
Before applying please see the Neighbourhood Grants guidance notes which are available to download.
To discuss your idea or to get support with your application, please email email@example.com.
The Community Event Fees and Charges Grant was created to support statutory legal event costs and to make sure we're not taking the funds away from the core project. Costs covered can be road closures, insurance, waste services or event licences. This funding is often awarded alongside Neighbourhood Grant funding.
Voluntary, community, local charities and self-help groups are eligible to apply for Neighbourhood Grants. Projects must be completed within the relevant wards of the Local Committee. We cannot fund individuals.
If you would like to apply for a Community Event Fees and Charges Grant, please read the guidance notes before applying online.
