Sutton Council were successfully awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery and Big Lottery Fund to deliver a £3.7m project to restore, conserve and enhance Beddington Park between 2016 and 2020.

Access was improved, new interpretation panels installed and the historical Grange Garden was restored, with a new apple orchard planted nearby. A large amount of work went into dredging and improving both the lake and stock pond and the children’s playground was enlarged with new features added, making it more popular than ever.

There was also an exciting programme of activities and events; including a range of walks and talks, children’s activities, exercise programmes, art and theatre events, as well as an extensive volunteer programme; providing training and volunteer opportunities throughout the park.

The activities and events programme will continue until December 2021, covid restrictions allowing. For upcoming events and park news click here.
