Town Centre Management

This section includes information on the role of the Town Centre Manager.

The Town Centre Manager for Sutton works in partnership with Successful Sutton (Business Improvement District (BID)), other local businesses, the Police, residents and transport providers to publicise, protect and promote the development of the town centre.

The Town Centre Manager co-ordinates the implementation of a programme of initiatives funded by the Council, the BID and other partners, which forms part of a Business Plan approved by a representative Town Centre Management Group.

The Town Centre Manager, who sits as a part of the Economic Renewal and Regeneration Unit (ERR) in Sutton Council, also liaises with local businesses on issues affecting the future development of the centre and assists with responses to enquiries by prospective investors.

Commitments

· To maintain a safe environment in the Town Centre in which to shop, visit, work and live.

· To work with Successful Sutton and other partners to actively promote the future development of the Town Centre through effective marketing measures.

· To maintain and increase business in the town centre and long term funding of town centre initiatives.
