The Planning Portal enables you to submit Planning Applications electronically. It also contains other useful planning information;
(Note: link opens in a new window) The Planning Portal, which is managed by the Planning Inspectorate, is the first point of call for anyone who wants to find out about the planning system in England and Wales.
The Portal enables access to:
- Development Plans and Proposals Maps for over 50 planning authority areas across the UK, including the London Borough of Sutton (these are statutory documents prepared by local planning authorities that set out the guidelines for local development);
- planning contacts in your local area information on how the planning system works, relevant planning regulations and guidance notes;
- information on how to determine if planning permission is required, how you go about obtaining it and appeal procedures and the latest planning news and information on job vacancies in planning.
Sutton's Unitary Development Plan (UDP) was adopted by the Council on 28th April 2003. The text of the Written Statement, containing UDP Part 1 and Part 2 Policies, Reasoned Justifications and the Glossary, can be viewed on the Planning Portal. The UDP Proposals Map and the Appendix to the Written Statement will be added to the Planning Portal in the near future.
