Cityread London - a London-wide month long celebration of literature.  April's the month for all Londoners to get together to read Louisa Young's 'My Dear I Wanted to Tell You' & Michael Morpurgo's 'Private Peaceful'. Join all Londoners in the discussion of this year's books and post your comments on Sutton's Facebook & Twitter #cityreadlondon.

April Highlights Include:

  • Hands-On Music at Sutton Central Children's Library:

Come along and visit the tutors from The Surrey Sound of Music as they demonstrate several different musical instruments and how you can learn to play them!
Thursday 10th April 11.00 am - 2.00 pm.

  • Super Seeds! at Library @ Westcroft Centre:

Join other children and meet the seeds that become your favourite vegetables and create your own mini vegetable  garden to take home. Please note that places are limited and tickets must be collected from the Library before the day of the event.
Wednesday 9th April 10.30 am - 12.00 noon

  • Easter Egg Colouring Competition at Wallington Library:

Demonstrate your artistic talent by designing a colourful Easter egg. Entries will be displayed in the Library and may win a small prize!
Saturday 5th - Thursday 17th April.

  • World Book Night: Secret Book Choice! at Cheam Library:

Pop along to the Library and choose a secret book to celebrate World Book Night.
Wednesday 23rd April.

  • Local and Family History - Drop In Session at Circle Library:

Calling those with an interest in history!  Family history advice available for both beginners and those with some experience, at this afternoon session. There is also a large selection of local history photographs to view.
Saturday 26th April 1.30 - 4.00 pm.

  • Make a Bird Feeder at Worcester Park Library:

Create a bird feeder for the garden at this children's craft activity.
Thursday 17th April 2.00 - 3.00 pm .

  • Film Night - 'Gallipoli' at Library @ the Life Centre:

Mel Gibson stars in this moving film commemorating the 99th anniversary of the origins of Anzac Day. Event organised by the Friends of Sutton LifeCentre.
Friday 25th April 7.00 pm.
