April 2015 Highlights Include:

CityRead London

Sutton Libraries will be participating once again in CityRead London, an annual celebration of literature that aims to bring reading to life for the whole capital. This year's CityRead title is the first of an urban fantasy / crime fiction series, Rivers of London.We hope everyone in Sutton will join us in reading this 'fast-moving, funny, full of warmth' book in April!

World Book Night 2015

World Book Night is an annual celebration of reading and books that takes place on 23 April. It sees passionate volunteers give out hundreds of thousands of books in their communities to share their love of reading with people who don't read regularly or own books. Sutton Libraries will be celebrating with their own book give-aways on the night.

  • CityRead: Ben Aaronovitch's Atmospheric Evening at Sutton Central Library:

An evening of celebrating CityRead: meet the author of 'Rivers of London', Ben Aaronovitch. This is an exciting evening of author talk, followed by a Q&A session. There will be an opportunity to purchase a copy of the book and get it signed by the author.
Tuesday 7th April 7.00 pm. Get you free ticket from the Customer Services Desk now!

  • Punch and Judy at Sutton Central Children's Library:

A traditional puppet play with lots of laughs as Mr Punch tries not to get eaten by the crocodile.

Tickets (£2) available at the Customer Services Desk.

Saturday 11th April 2.00 pm in the Europa Gallery.

  • 'Eggciting' Easter Craft Event! at Wallington Library:

Come along and create a cute Easter chick or bunny with a chocolate treat. Suitable for children aged 4 -8 years.
Please contact the Library to reserve a space as places are limited.
Friday 10th April 2.30 pm.

  • Easter Raffle at Cheam Library:

Pop along to the Library to buy your raffle tickets for the chance to win a super chocolatey Easter prize!
Thursday 12th March - Thursday 2nd April.

    Garden and Craft Table at Circle Library:

It's time to help tidy up the garden and then get creative with some craft activities.
For ages 4 - 10 years.
Saturday 18th April 11.00 am.

    Movie Morning: 'Hop' (U)
at Library @ the Life Centre:

Come along and enjoy this fun computer-animated comedy film with an Easter theme.

Film has a 'Universal' certificate.
Wednesday 1st April 11.00 am.

    'Eggscellent' Eggs Crafty Competition!
at Library @ Westcroft Centre:

Pick up an Easter egg template and decorate it with your most creative design. These designs will be displayed around the Library and one will be chosen to win an Easter egg prize! 
Saturday 28th March - Thursday 9th April.

  • Easter Card Craft at Worcester Park Library:
    Come and enjoy making your very own Easter card. Places are limited so please get your ticket early!
    For ages 7 - 11 years.
    Thursday 2nd April 2.00 pm.
