Monitoring of Planning Permissions
The Council has to monitor all residential and major non-residential planning permissions.
The Council is required to monitor the implementation of all residential and major non-residential planning permissions (involving the creation of at least one self-contained residential unit or 1,000 m2 gross floorspace respectively) for the purpose of reporting on key development monitoring data through the AMR.
The London Development Database (LDD) can be used to find planning permissions in your area by either searching for a locality by name (eg Sutton or Wallington), by postcode (full or partial), or by using the interactive map. The Council uploads details of all key planning permissions onto the LDD within 3 months of permission being granted.
Reliable data in relation to permissions, starts and completions throughout the Borough enables the effectiveness of the Council's planning policies in achieving the objectives of the adopted Sutton UDP and the London Plan to be monitored and reviewed on an ongoing basis (eg progress against the Mayor's long-term housing targets).
