Records and research at Sutton Register Office

How can I carry out family history research at Sutton Register Office?

Facilities are available for you to trace your family history. Registers containing entries of births, deaths and marriages are available at the Register Office. Please telephone 020 8770 6790 to make an appointment if you wish to use the indexes. There is a charge made for this service and you will be told the current fee when you phone.

The records and indexes available at Sutton are:

  • Sutton - 1837 to date
  • Banstead - 1837-1948
  • Beddington - 1965 to date
  • Carshalton - 1837-1934 and 1965 to date
  • St Helier Hospital - 1948 (April) to date
  • Wallington - 1965 to date
