Diversionary activities

This is a Metropolitan Police backed project run with Crystal Palace Football Club providing free football coaching and educational sessions for boys and girls aged 11-18. The scheme runs in Sutton at the following venues:

· The Ball Pen at The Grove, behind the Charles Cryer Theatre, Carshalton (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays)

· Benhill Ball Park, on the Benhill Estate (Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays)

The main aims of Kickz are to engage young people in a range of constructive activities which break down barriers between the Police and young people, reduce crime and anti-social behaviour as well as increase the opportunities for young people. For further information contact the Kickz Project office on 020 8768 6047.

Met-Track aims to offer sport as the healthy alternative to young people aged 10-17 who might not otherwise necessarily get the opportunity. Its overarching aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour and offending by young people across London.

Met-Track is run at Sutton Arena Athletics Track, every Monday between 6.00pm-7.30pm throughout the year including school holidays. It's free. Just turn up with a pair of trainers and sports clothing to suit the weather.
