Planning register system upgrade

We're updating our online planning register system!

During January the London Borough of Sutton will be launching a new Planning, Building Control and Land Charges system. This will include replacing both our current internal systems and our public facing site.

The new system offers many benefits which include:

  • the ability to set alerts and tracking for both applications and specific geographical areas

  • more information on applications and their progress

  • improved document labelling

As the data will need to be migrated across to the new system in January, it will be unavailable from 4pm on the 12/01/2018 until early February. However, we will try to bring forward our go-live date so please keep an eye out for updates on this page or the Planning and bulding control page.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, we would really appreciate your help in minimising the submission of queries during this time. We will respond to all queries as quickly as we can, however we would ask for your patience and understanding during the transition period as our responses may take a little longer than usual.

During the system downtime we will continue to accept new applications via all of the usual channels and be able to progress these through to the validation stage, however please note that no formal acknowledgement letters will be produced during this period (email/letter correspondence regarding invalid applications will continue as normal).

All current applications will continue to be actioned by the Case Officer assigned and details/drawings will continue to be available via our current online public access portal, commenting via the portal will also remain open.

We would appreciate it if contact with both our admin team and case officers is kept to a minimum during this period but should you need to get in touch all our usual communication channels remain open.

Please also note that all our usual payment methods also remain open as usual.

We will provide further updates as we approach our go-live date.

Thank you in advance for your support and co-operation.
