Types of parking permits

Parking permits for carers

Resident Care Permit

A Resident Care permit is transferable across vehicles, and has no daily time limit. This flexibility recognises that some residents are reliant on multiple different carers to help them. It will be available to residents with an evidenced need for care in their home and who meet the criteria for a permit in any controlled parking zone or permit parking area in Sutton.

The Resident Care permit costs £40 a year and can be renewed annually.

There is a restriction on one permit per eligible resident and will be valid only in the controlled parking zone or permit parking area they reside, with no time restriction on use.

The Resident Care permit replaces the Individual Carer permit which is no longer available.
