The Outer London Fund

Worcester Park and North Cheam

Between 2012-14 the Council has been working on a project to support Worcester Park and North Cheam. The project was funded by the GLA, Transport for London, and Sutton Council. It has aimed to make improvements to the look of Worcester Park and North Cheam, help improve shop fronts, promoted activities to support local businesses, and run street markets. We have with local stakeholders to help to shape the direction of the project.

Updates - March 2014
  • Worcester Park shop front improvements have now been completed. The main works are to the curvy parade at the top of Central Road, opposite Sainsbury's. There are also shops throughout the town centre which have had improvements.
  • North Cheam public realm and shop front works Improvements to North Cheam, centring on the parade between Courtenay Avenue and Lavender Road, are underway. They include shop front improvements and improvements to the street. You can see the artists impression of how the works will look by downloading the 'North Cheam Visualisation' pdf from the right of this page.
  • Worcester Park public art Further to planning permission, work with the artist to develop the artwork for the side of Iceland in Worcester Park, is on-going.
  • SHINE is a local, small business incubator, that runs low-cost business development courses. View their new course programme.
