Sutton Compact (also know as Sutton Voice) is a long standing partnership agreement that sets out shared principles and guidelines for effective partnership working between government and the third sector. The Compact stands for better partnership working and creating better outcomes for individuals and local communities.
What is happening nationally?
Central Government is committed to supporting the Compact through a range of units and policies. It recognises that the third sector has an important role in engaging communities and can be innovative and flexible. The National Compact (between central government and the third sector) was launched in 1998 and was updated in 2010, and all local authorities must now develop a compact in their area.
What is happening in Sutton?
Sutton's Compact was re-launched at the Community Leadership Awards at the end of February 2013.
