Chief Executive's remuneration statement

Niall Bolger, our Chief Executive is paid £163k per year and he receives no performance related pay or bonuses. Sutton's pay scale for the Chief Executive post is £134k - £167k. This scale is set by our Executive Committee of councillors.

Last year the chief executives of other London boroughs received pay packages of between £150k and £241k.

The national conditions of service are that Niall contributes 7.5% of his salary to the local government pension scheme and Sutton's employer contribution to the pension fund for all contributing members of staff is 21.5%

Niall receives no other form of income and any sums relating to conference speeches or non-executive directorships of other public bodies are paid to the Council. He receives no overtime or pay in lieu of leave.
