Household Reuse and Recycling Centre at Kimpton Park Way

Reusing items is better for the environment than recycling them, because it requires no energy or processing, but it can be hard to find items in good condition.

At Kimpton Park Way Household Reuse and Recycling Centre, we have the solution! We have an on-site Community Reuse Shop which is full of pre-loved treasures, such as bicycles, books, furniture, electronics, and household items such as hoovers. All items in the shop have been brought to one of the six HRRCs in the South London Waste Partnership region  (Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton), but they are in good enough condition to be reused, rather than recycled or thrown away.

Residents are encouraged to drop off items in clean, reusable condition for resale, and to take a look through the offered items themselves - you might just find something special! The shop offers a discount scheme to residents on low incomes or suffering financial hardship. Delivery is also available in some cases (for a small charge).

The Community Reuse Shop is open to both residents and non residents. Don’t forget to book your visit in if you’re dropping off heavy items at the shop. If you are just coming to visit the Community Reuse Shop, you do not need to make a booking. However, if you are visiting by car, you must park outside of the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre and enter via the pedestrian gate.
