Flats above shops - waste collection service

Flats above shops - your collection service explained

There are different recycling and waste arrangements for flats above shops which don’t have space for bins.  Check your property’s collection day

  • Paper, card, plastic, cartons, cans and glass are collected weekly in Sutton Council-branded blue bags.
  • General waste is collected weekly in Sutton Council-branded red bags.
  • Unfortunately we don’t collect food waste from flats above shops.

Please make sure your blue bags and red bags are presented in the agreed location, either:

  • On the street outside your property on collection day
  • Placed next to the nearest litter bin to your front door
  • Collections start from 6am and finish by 8.30pm. Please do not place bags out for collection at any other time.
