Residents of the London Borough of Sutton have the opportunity to access funding to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. This funding is provided by energy companies under the Government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme.
Sutton Council will be working with energy companies to deliver ECO funding within the London Borough of Sutton. The Council has published a Statement of Intent to support this work.
Warmer Homes Scheme
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has launched a £2.5 million scheme to help Londoners stay warm and save on their energy bills.
The fund, called Warmer Homes, provides free boiler, insulation, double glazing or other improvements to help heat your home more affordably.
To apply as a London Borough of Sutton resident you must:
- Live in the borough
- Own and live in your own home
- Receive a qualifying benefit
- Meet the London Borough of Sutton's flexible eligibility criteria as set out in our Statement of Intent.
If you qualify for the grant you could receive up to £4,000 of home energy efficiency improvements.

Priority Services Register
Energy companies maintain a Priority Services Register which is used to provide residents with extra free services, such as help if there is a power cut.
This is usually provided to;
- People who are of pensionable age,
- Registered disabled,
- Have a hearing or visual impairment,
- Have long term ill-health.
