Sutton 2031 - Draft Local Plan

The Local Plan is a key planning document that sets out the spatial vision for the development of the borough up to 2031.

It focuses on the key issues facing Sutton, identifies development needs and the strategy and opportunities for addressing them. It provides detailed policies against which the council will determine planning applications for development proposals. It also includes allocated sites.

Between 9 January 2017 and 24 February 2017 we are consulting you on:
Supporting information: You can let us know your comments (representations) by 5pm on Friday 24 February 2017. All representations will be made public and published on the Council website in the months following the consultation.

During this consultation, the representations must be made against the following criteria:

  • Legal Compliance
  • Soundness
  •  (i) Positively Prepared
     (ii) Justified
     (iii) Effective
     (iv) Consistent with National Policy
  • Compliance with the Duty to Cooperate
In early January 2017 planning officers attended Local Committees to talk to residents about the Draft Local Plan and answered any questions.
