Houses with no frontage - waste collection service

Houses with no frontage - your collection service explained

A small proportion of households in the borough are on the ‘Kerbside Houses with no Frontage Collection Service'. This may be because they are terraced houses whose front doors lead directly onto the pavement, or because there are steps between the pavement and the front garden, making wheelie bins unsuitable.

When is your recycling and rubbish collected?
  • Food waste is collected every week
  • Recycling is collected on alternate weeks (paper and card one week; plastics, glass, cans and cartons the next)
  • Rubbish (non recyclable waste) is collected every week
Use our postcode checker to view a collection timetable for your property.

Every household in the borough was sent a 12-month collection timetable in March 2017. An update to the timetable will be sent to all households before Christmas each year.

Collections start from 6am and finish by 8.30pm. Please make sure your recycling and rubbish containers and bags are presented at the front of your property so they can be seen clearly by our collection crews but are not blocking the public footpath.
