Please read the information below regarding public participation at meetings of the Planning Committee.
In accordance with current government guidance for local authorities, meeting participants will be spaced apart and seating will be reserved for applicants and registered speakers. This means that capacity in the public gallery will be extremely limited.
Meetings will be livestreamed on the council's website and we encourage residents to watch virtually if possible. As there is limited opportunity for public participation in the meeting, unless an applicant or registered speaker, watching online gives the public a great opportunity to follow proceedings whilst also limiting the spread of infection.
Individuals can continue to request to speak at the committee but, should there be more than one person requesting to speak with the same interest in an application, a nominated representative will be asked to address the committee. In addition to speaking, all persons with an interest in an application can submit a Written Statement to the committee.
All Written Statements and requests to speak must be submitted via the form links below by 10:00am on the third working day before a meeting.
For further guidance on submitting a Written Statement or registering to speak, please email email@example.com clearly stating the meeting date and application number in the subject line of the email.
