We have developed a DataCard which provides an overview of equalities information for the London Borough of Sutton. It complements Sutton’s Equality and Diversity Framework, and alongside Integrated Impact Assessments, is a way that we demonstrate our social responsibility and legislative requirements, namely the Public Sector Equality Duty.
The DataCard covers the protected characteristics as set out by the Equality Act 2010, which will help the Council to identify trends and gaps in its data. It also accounts for equalities workforce data to ensure that the Council is taking into consideration how our activities as an employer can affect people who share different protected characteristics.
