Help for disabled voters

We have 56 polling places in use across the borough for polling stations.  We inspect all locations for accessibility and provide temporary ramping if required.  We appreciate that some sites may have uneven paving and poor outside lighting, which we try to accommodate each election.

Feedback is always valued from voters, contact us at electoral.services@sutton.gov.uk if you have any suggestions for improvement.

Inside the polling station are large print versions of the ballot paper. There is always at least one wheelchair accessible polling booth to accommodate voters.

Any voter who has a sight impairment or other physical disability, or who is unable to read, can have a companion to help them.  The presiding officer can help if you do not have a companion. Everyone has to follow a legal requirement to maintain the secrecy of the elector's vote.
