Registrar Services
Birth registrations
In the wake of the new national lockdown restrictions being put in place we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily restrict our face to face appointments in order to protect our workforce and our other statutory functions whilst infection rates are so high.
If the appointment to register is beyond 42 days of the birth please be assured there will be no penalty as during the pandemic and lockdown the availability of appointments has been limited.
You can make a claim for child benefit or universal credit before the birth is registered. Find out how you can claim on GOV.UK.
If you have an urgent requirement to register your child please email us on register.office@sutton.gov. uk and we will do our best to facilitate your request.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this temporary measure.
