How to travel free on public transport in London from the age of 60 until you qualify for a Freedom Pass: Tfl 60+ London Oyster photocard.
Freedom passes can be issued to either residents who are over 60 or for people with an eligible disability.
If you live in London and are over 60 years old, you can apply for a freedom pass online or you can visit your local library (during normal opening hours) and make an application there.
If you have an eligible disability, you may be able to get a disabled person's freedom pass. For further details on the elegibility criteria and how to apply please view the Disabled persons freedom pass information page.
If your freedom pass has an expiry date of 31 March 2019, you will receive a letter giving instructions of how to renew it. If you have not received your letter by the end of January 2019, please telephone one of the following telephone numbers where staff will be able to help you.
