Following the CQC OFSTED Inspection in January 2018, Sutton was required to submit a Written Statement of Action (WSoA), which outlines how they will address the issues raised during the Inspection.
To celebrate our successes and achievements, as well as understand and acknowledge the areas of work where progress is still required to improve services for children and young people with SEND and their parents/carers, a Local Area 'Stocktake morning' took place on 17 September at Carshalton Athletic Football Club. Over 70 colleagues attended the event from Health, Schools, Cognus, LBS, councillors and parents/carers of children and young people with SEND.
This presentation was delivered by Local Area representatives, who have been working to ensure all efforts are being made to address the shortcomings identified in the inspection. Should you wish to speak to someone regarding anything that was talked about, contact details can be found at the end of the presentation.
This short briefing summarises the feedback received during the morning, with the suggested next steps. Attendees were asked (1) if they recognised the changes described in the presentations, (2) whether there was anything missing and (3) what they thought the next steps should be.
