Autism Spectrum Disorder Service

The Autism Service

The Autism Service is an education service focusing on supporting pupils of school age with a diagnosis of autism or social communication difficulties.

The Autism Service is a traded service, meaning that schools, individuals or local authorities can buy in support. This can include advice for specific students, one to one pupil work, whole school training, planning/policy support, workshops for parents and support in becoming a more autism-friendly school. Traded work is open to schools outside of Sutton and other organisations as well as to parents.

Parent Programmes

The Autism Service also runs two parent programmes as part of the Paving the Way service. These are:

Spectrum Rocks: a 6 week programme for parents of children with a diagnosis of autism.

Paving the Way: a 4 week programme for parents of children with social communication differences.

The programmes run each term. If you would like to put your name down for a place on one of these programmes, please use the following link.

Post Diagnostic Support

As part of the Cognus diagnostic pathway, we can offer a one-off session for a young person to help them understand their diagnosis (there is currently a 3-4 month waiting list for this session).
