What could your local group do with £1000?

The aims of the grant to are to promote community and voluntary activity in the local area, foster sustainable projects and support activities that the whole community can participate in.
Applications are welcome from voluntary, community and self-help groups who are formally constituted. Groups should apply to the relevant Local Committee where their project will be delivered and may be invited to a local committee meeting to talk about their project.

Community Event Fees and Charges Grant
The Community Event Fees and Charges Grant is financed by the London Borough of Sutton to support the permissions required from the Council when organising events within the borough. Previously, the Council offered reduced costs for road closure, licenses etc., however, the London Borough of Sutton is no longer allowed to provide this offer.
To help support statutory legal event costs, the Community Event Fees and Charges Grant has been developed as a measure to help mitigate the financial impact upon community groups and organisations.
Who can apply?
Voluntary, community, local charities and self-help groups are eligible to apply for Neighbourhood Grants. Projects undertaken must be completed within the relevant wards of the Local Committee. We cannot fund individuals.
