Sutton students celebrate A-level achievements 2019

This compared to the national overall pass rate of 97.6%. Nationally, 25.5% of students have attained A* to A grades.  In Sutton, this is 33.9%

60.3% of students have attained an A* to B grade.  

Councillor Marian James, Chair of the People Committee at Sutton Council, said: 

“Our hard-working students and high-achieving schools have achieved another excellent set of results. Well done to everyone.

“The Council is ambitious for our borough and is committed to making sure that Sutton has a reputation as a great place to live, work and raise a family.  These brilliant results show that we are succeeding.

“I would like to thank the teachers, governors and support staff in all our local schools who are so passionate about ensuring young people are given the best possible start in life.  

“With so many opportunities open to them - whether further studies, apprenticeships or starting work for the first time - I wish all our students every success for their future.”
