The first 1001 days are vital for their development and child and parent future well-being. A time of uniquely rapid growth when babies’ brains are shaped by their experiences and environments. Babies develop in an environment of relationships: sensitive, responsive care is the most fundamental element of optimal emotional development.

Parents’ wellbeing is essential for babies’ wellbeing and development.

The Mayor’s Charities, especially crucial during Covid-19, are:

  • Home-Start Sutton - providing support for parents
  • Sutton Mental Health Foundation - supporting adult’s mental health.
