Flooding update (30 July)

Published:
30 Jul 2021

The Council is continuing to take action to reduce the risk of further flooding. These actions include:

  • Inspecting gullies in high risk areas known to experience flooding, specially those hit during the past week.

  • Cleaning blocked gullies to help surface water drain away. We welcome the cooperation of residents and ask people to move their parked vehicles if these are covering gullies on highways when our crews arrive.

  • Our contractors will be placed on stand-by ready to respond quickly should flooding occur to reduce the impact where possible and to support residents affected.
