Sutton's Community Awards 2021

It is the time of year to nominate residents and groups in our borough who we feel deserve recognition for their contributions to our community. This is only the third year we have celebrated our community, but the awards are a highlight of the year and enable us to truly admire, respect and show appreciation to all who are nominated.

The awards are able to take place due to the partnership between Sutton Council,  Community Action Sutton, Sutton Housing Partnership and Volunteer Centre Sutton.

Our theme this year is ‘Recover and Rebuild’ and because we want to recognise a range of amazing people, we have expanded the categories to ten, with four brand new awards. The new categories are:

  • The Environment Award

  • The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award

  • The Innovator of the Year Award

  • The Lifetime Achievement Award

You have until Friday 17 December to nominate, all you need to do is fill in this form.

Last year’s awards were virtual, but fingers crossed that this year we will be able to celebrate in person at the end of February. The details of the venue will be confirmed shortly and the ceremony will also be live streamed.

Recent times have not been easy, and I am sure you know someone who deserves an award, so have a look at the categories, perhaps discuss with neighbours and friends and nominate now.

Don’t forget the closing date is Friday 17 December.
