Flats Recycling Fund

Overview

What is the Flats Recycling Grant Fund?

This grant offers funding to groups who are committed to helping Sutton to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle waste in flats across the borough. The aim is to encourage, inspire and embolden residents to increase their participation in and help improve waste minimisation practices where they live. This fits into Sutton’s ongoing waste targets, which you can find out about in our Waste Minimisation Strategy and our wider Climate Emergency and Environment Strategy.

Eligible groups will be able to submit bids for the funding of new projects that reduce residual waste, improve recycling and reduce contamination. Such projects could be interventions including improving infrastructure, community engagement and behaviour change.

We particularly encourage applications which are inclusive, promote community development, support mental and physical wellness, and tackle racism or climate change.

Who can apply?

This grant is open to bids for funding from managing agents, residents associations, local charities, voluntary, community and self-help groups who are committed to helping Sutton to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in flats across the borough. Applicants must be registered as an organisation and be linked to the flats they are proposing the project for.
